Increasing Nursing Students Studying Concentration by Repairing Sleep Quality in Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Sumatera Utara Medan

Every human needs sleeping because it is one of basic needs of human. Sleep quality is a someones activity that produces freshness and fitness feeling when he wakes up. Then, studying concentration is thought focus to lessons by ignoring everything that has nothing to do with the lesson. In studying, getting studying concentration needs to have an adequate sleep so that someones concentration keeps stable. Thats why to get a good result, students have to be able to concentrate optimally. This study was conducted to find out the relationship between nursing students sleep quality with studying concentration in STlKes SU. This study was designed by correlation analytic with cross sectional approach. Population in these study were 373 respondents. Sampling technic was Purposive Sampling based on each classroom proportion. They are 283 nursing student as respondents. The chi square test showed that there is a relationship between nursing students sleep quality with studying concentration in STlKes SU (p = 0,027; alpha = 0,05; OR = 2,45). It is suggested to academic lecturer to impress the importance of sleep quality to the students from the beginning. It can be reached by going to bed and waking up earlier, so that they can create a conducive studying condition.
